ABOUT THE ROLE
The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) plays a pivotal role in ensuring efficient, high-quality, and sustainable production processes at site level. By applying strong technical expertise and Lean principles, the ME optimizes manufacturing systems, supports New Product Introduction (NPI), and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
Working closely with the Group Leader and cross‑functional teams, you will take a hands-on approach to problem-solving and ensure that priorities within your assigned area are aligned with business objectives and customer value.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Process Improvement
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing manufacturing processes and implementing cost‑effective, sustainable solutions
- Develop and deploy the USSC Lean Operating Model (LOM) to reduce waste and improve productivity
- Perform root cause analyses and lead corrective actions for production challenges
- Contribute to the value stream future‑state design and ensure execution across your area
- Conduct time studies and establish manufacturing standards, targets, and routings
Production Support
- Provide hands‑on technical support to production teams
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues to minimize downtime
- Develop and maintain work instructions, SOPs, and process documentation
- New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Collaborate with Design and R&D to ensure manufacturability of new products
- Lead the design and development of manufacturing processes for NPIs
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation of new production systems
Quality Assurance
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet quality standards and compliance requirements
- Implement and monitor quality control measures
- Partner with Quality Assurance to resolve non‑conformities and prevent recurrence
Equipment & Technology
- Identify and implement new manufacturing technologies and equipment
- Ensure equipment reliability through effective preventive maintenance strategies
- Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
We are looking for a strong communicator and influential team player with professional working proficiency in English. You are committed to continuous learning and are willing to complete the Lean Foundation certification within six months and the USSC Six Sigma Green Belt certification within your first year.
You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and bring solid experience in Industrial Engineering. You have a strong understanding of Lean, Six Sigma, and manufacturing processes, along with hands‑on experience using CAD tools and manufacturing systems such as ERP and MES. An analytical mindset, strong problem‑solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality standards are essential for success in this role.
Experience that is considered a plus includes a Master’s degree in Engineering or Science, prior work within a formal Lean Operating Model or Production System, and Lean or Six Sigma certification from a recognized certifying body.

LOCATION AND TRAVEL
- Albyberg, South Stockholm, Haninge Municipality
- Primarily site‑based 60/40 Hybrid
- Up to 5% for travel to internal / external benchmarking and general business needs
