ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Application Engineer, you’ll play a key role in delivering effective, customized fire suppression solutions that ensure customer satisfaction and uphold Dafo Vehicle’s reputation for safety and quality.
You will join our Engineering team, a dynamic group of three engineers in Stockholm, Sweden. Together, we drive continuous product development in close cooperation with other Engineering teams and our Operations department.
Your mission: transform customer requirements into tailored, high-performance solutions and ensure a seamless handover from design to production, while maintaining our commitment to safety, reliability, and excellence.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Customer Solutions:
- Collaborate with the Sales organization to understand customer needs, technical requirements, and specifications.
- Translate customer expectations into clear, achievable engineering solutions.
- Independently develop and present tailored technical proposals that meet performance, cost, and quality targets.
Design & Development:
- Adapt existing fire suppression systems to meet unique customer requirements.
- Create technical documentation and production-ready designs.
- Work primarily in SolidWorks (CAD) to develop accurate and efficient designs.
- Support continuous improvement of our existing product range.
Collaboration & Delivery:
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production readiness.
- Prepare production drawings and documentation to support manufacturing.
- Contribute to ongoing innovation within Dafo Vehicle’s Engineering initiatives.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- Education: B.Sc. Degree in Mechanical or Machine Engineering or equivalent.
- Experience: At least one prior engineering role involving design, documentation, or customized applications, ideally within the manufacturing or automotive industry.
- Technical Skills: Strong CAD skills and a solid understanding of mechanical design
- Languages: Fluent in Swedish and strong proficiency in English.
- Mindset: Analytical, detail-oriented and solution-driven.
- Work Permit: A valid work permit to work within EU.

Beneficial to have
