We’re now looking for a Supervisor Operations – Production to join our team in Sweden.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As Supervisor Operations – Production, you will lead a team of 8–12 Manufacturing Production Associates (MPAs). You own performance across People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Cash (PSQDCC). You’ll set the standard for operational discipline, develop your team, and drive Lean practices on the shop floor, building a culture that reflects Dafo Vehicle’s PASSION values (People, Attitude, Service, Safety, Innovation, One Company, Nimble).
You will partner closely with other supervisors and the Operations Manager to secure smooth, safe, and efficient daily production.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing production team with a strong safety-first mindset.
- Create a safe and inspiring workplace through visible leadership and rigorous Health & Safety standards.
- Execute the Lean Operating Model (LOM): daily management, Leader Standard Work, skills matrix, and standard work.
- Improve flow and stability: takt time adherence, line balancing, SMED/changeovers, first-pass yield.
- Drive continuous improvement through Kaizen, problem-solving (A3/5-Why), and robust standardization.
- Monitor and manage zone performance to plan and convert cost targets (OEE, scrap, rework, schedule adherence).
- Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Logistics, and Engineering to hit delivery targets.
- Identify, coach, and grow future talent; maintain training plans and versatility charts.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
Must-Haves
- Proven experience in manufacturing/assembly leadership with a strong safety culture.
- Collaborative and accountable leadership; clear communication in both Swedish and English.
- Hands-on Lean/CI experience (standard work, problem-solving, daily management).
- Strong cross-functional partnering with support teams and leadership.
- Self-driven, structured, and comfortable solving problems at the gemba.
Nice-to-Haves
- Education in Engineering or a scientific discipline.
- Lean or Six Sigma certification.
- Experience with a Lean Production System/Operating Model.
- Familiarity with Automotive Core Tools, IATF 16949, VDA 6.3/6.5.
- Experience in the automotive industry.
OTHER INFO
- Travel requirement: Minimal (up to 5%) for business needs and benchmarking.
- Workplace: Primarily on-site at our Stockholm facility.
- Work permit: You must already hold a valid Swedish work permit to be considered for this role.
